Sorry it has been so long since I posted anything. Wow, it has been hectic these last couple of weeks! I hope everyone is doing well. Can you believe we are HALFWAY through September??? Yikes! I thought about posting how many "shopping days" we have left till Christmas but I figured I better not if I didn't want people mad at me. :)
Don't forget to put these items on your calendar:
This Sunday we begin our new Bible Study by Priscilla Shirer, One in a Million. We made a change from previously published information - we will begin at 4:30pm in the Fellowship Hall NOT 5:00pm. This will allow us time to watch the video and have discussions. We have arranged for child care to be available at that time also! Spread the word. Hope to see you there.
Next Month, October 4th will be our first F.O.L.D. dinner at the Olive Garden at the Galleria location. We plan to meet there at 6pm but if you want to ride with the group from the church let me know and we'll know to watch for you. We will LEAVE the church parking lot at 5:30pm.
Lastly, the Women's Ministry Committee is meeting tomorrow night and we are working on Ladies Weekend 2011! I'm telling you now - mark my words... you will NOT want to miss Ladies Weekend this next March 5th! Babbie Mason will be leading us in music and will speak during one of the sessions. If you are not familiar with her, check out her website, www.babbie.com. She is fantastic!! Brenda Ladun will also be with us and sharing her testimony about how God has used her and shown His mighty power through her while dealing with breast cancer. We have one more speaker that I can't name yet and I hope to post that soon!! Please start spreading the word now in your Sunday School classes, at your workplace, and all the ladies you come in contact with!! You are our best publicity - people are more likely to attend when they are PERSONALLY invited than by seeing a poster or a note in The Informer. I challenge you all to invite at least 5 people to come with you March 5, 2011. There will be something for everyone from ages 15 to 105; those that have faced physical pain; those that have made "unpopular" decisions; and those that need to hear that God loves them and will be with them through the storms of their life. I also ask that you begin praying now for this to be an opportunity for God's love, God's light, and God's grace to be revealed to someone.
I love you all! See you Sunday! Julie
